ExpressCard Asus T500: UMTS and HSDPA on all laptops
In July last year we had reported the U.S. launch of a Connect Card Asus T500 3G HSDPA ExpressCard, a PCMCIA card for notebooks that allows users to connect to the Internet through cellular networks UMTS / HSDPA, but on this occasion we were not able to provide information about his availability.
The news is that Asus to distribute the card UMTS / HSDPA 3G ExpressCard T500 also on the Italian market, starting from the month of November, at a price of 199 euros.
Slim, compact and compatible with any PC desktop or laptop equipped with ExpressCard slots, the ASUS T500 is an advanced solution that allows you to download data at speeds of 3.6 megabits per second (maximum theoretical speed), using UMTS cellular networks / HSDPA. ASUS T500 ensures, therefore, access to the Internet wherever you are, even away from home or your workplace. Simple and easy to use, it uses the ExpressCard interface, in agreement with the market trend that sees the gradual transition from the interface to the PCMCIA ExpressCard.
ASUS T500 also supports several features "voice", through which you can use your notebook as your phone. By Phone Call & Phone book management, users can, in fact, using the PC interface to move comfortably between your contacts (names, phone numbers, email addresses), relying on a fast and simple synchronization between your phone and PC. Particularly interesting also the Call Log feature, which lets you record up to a hundred missed calls, made and received, with the ability to import contacts and numbers in the phone book directly from this list. The new ASUS T500 can then use the PC even to send, reply, forward and record SMS through an extremely simple and intuitive.
Equipped with backing "multilingualism", the ASUS T500 allows you to make choosing between several languages (Italian, English, French, German, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Russian and Portuguese), and for maximum ease of installation and use, it is equipped with "Easy-to-follow", which automatically detects and configures the SIM, simplifying the procedure.
