Acer Aspire 6935G and 8930G with Centrino 2 incoming
The range of Gemstone Blue laptops, including the first Acer laptop screen 16:9 movie from 16 and 18.4 inches, finally meets upgrade to the latest Intel mobile platform, Centrino 2. The new models, direct descendants of previous Acer Aspire 6920G and 8920G, will buy the abbreviations 8930G and 6935G with 16 inches with 18.4 inches. As has happened at the launch of the first models based on Intel Santa Rosa platform, both series should include a lineup of four models each, which will occupy a range of prices in the market to meet your budget and tastes of all users.

The main changes compared to the Santa Rosa models consist, apart from the introduction of the new Mobile Intel PM45 Express chipset and Centrino 2 Penryn processors, a general updating of sub-graphs. The Acer Aspire 6935G and 8930G will continue to use graphics solutions produced by the Californian chipmaker Nvidia: previous NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS and the 9650M GS will be replaced by far more powerful GeForce 9600M GT and 9700M GT, both with 512MB of GDDR3 memory, respectively, based on G96 and G94 chips.
In analogy with the previous series, as already guessed, the GeForce 9700M GT will be used only for the top range models of Aspire 8930G, which with a large house which accommodates dissipation system very efficient, can support the TDP of the GPU. As for the processors, we have opted for the 2GHz Core 2 Duo P7350 from the clock, with 3MB of L2 cache and FSB 1066MHz for entry-level, up to the powerful Core 2 Duo T9400 processor from 2.53GHz clock with 6MB of L2 cache and 1066MHz clock.

Another innovation will be the new Centrino 2 Intel WiFi Link 5100/5300AGN modules (in addition to the now inevitable Bluetooth), higher than the "old" Intel Pro Wireless 4965AGN regarding the extent of signal, speed and above the savings. Depending on the model, will obviously be available on TV-Tuner DVB-T combo optical drive and a Blu-Ray. The computing power and graphics of the new laptop has thus increased more than palpable, thanks to the new architecture and new GPUs, making the two media platforms are ideal for viewing digital content, but also extremely prepared for gaming applications.
The displays will continue to have an aspect ratio of 16:9, resolution WXGA or WXGA HD 1366x768 pixels 1920x1080 pixels HD 1080 for the Aspire 6935G, and 1920x1080 pixels for the Aspire 8930G. We expect the introduction of the new Acer Gemstone Blue Centrino 2 in Italy in the very short term, prices should vary from 1150 to 1800 euros, depending on configuration.
We recall that the case will remain unchanged, so the set of multimedia features, such as Acer CineDash console and CineSurround audio systems, Tuba CineBass True5.1 booster and output that we observed in the Santa Rosa models will continue to be present for Aspire 6935G and 8930G.
