Acer Aspire 9920G: the cinema in portable format
In early May we had anticipated the next issue of the desktop-replacement multimedia Acer Aspire 9920G, featuring a 20.1 inch LCD screen and dedicated exclusively as a digital entertainment system, media center lounge. Despite the Taiwanese company has not yet officially released details about the models that will be made available in Italy, the Acer Aspire 9920G is already on the lists of other European countries, with a guide price of 1499 euros.
This giant is equipped according to configurations, with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 at 2.2 GHz or T7300 at 2.0GHz, backed by 2GB of DDR2 memory at 667 MHz and dual 160GB SATA storage (at 5400rpm). The sector graph is assigned to an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB of dedicated memory, which manages a 20.1 inch LCD WSXGA + CrystalBrite with resolution 1680 × 1050, while its media is enriched by a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, a tuner TV and an HD-DVD player to enjoy the vision of your favorite movie in high resolution.

The Aspire 9920G offers also a wide range of network solutions including Wi-Fi a / b / g / n, infrared and Gigabit Ethernet, while among the interfaces is possible to recognize a card reader 5-in - 1, DVI-D, VGA, 4 USB 2.0, Firewire, ExpressCard54. Amazed at the lack of an HDMI port for watching full HD movies even on external monitors, but perhaps the designers hoped that the large display supplied was sufficient.
With Windows Vista Home Premium and a weight of 7.7 pounds, this portable multimedia notebook, Acer offers the surprising range of about 2 hours with an 8-cell battery (data declared by the manufacturer). The goal dell'Acero Aspire 9920 is to be able to grab a slice of that market which until now was the prerogative of the 'HP HDX9000 Dragon, now in its second edition with the model HDX9100 Pavilion.
