Asus Eee PC 900SD, yet another variant of the netbook by definition, has appeared on the site's global , accompanied by presentation and technical information.
The images suggest the use of a treatment for glossy cover and palm rest, unlike the previous pearl finish. Previous white (Pearl White) and Black (Galaxy Black) is now replaced five colors: Shiny Black, Shiny White, Champagne Gold, Blue and Purple.
Apart from these aesthetic details, the hardware configuration of the Eee PC 900SD not seem to differ from that of the first generation of Eee PC 900 : Intel Celeron M ULV 353 900MHz, 8.9-inch display with WSVGA resolution 1024x600, webcam with microphone integrated WLAN 802.11b / g.
In terms of storage capacity, technical equipment and even worse, relying on only one card 8GB SSD + 10GB of online storage, compared to 8 +4 GB or 4 +16 GB 900 series.
Some welcome news comes instead from software profile, which is enriched with Asus Xpress Path, a utility that speeds up the boot time of shutdown and application load, and the transmission voltage CPU Asus Super Hybrid Engine, which allows downcloccare and overclock the processor with the result of a life up to 4 hours with 4 cell battery.
The step back from the last refresh, Asus Eee PC 900A , which provided an Intel Atom N270 at 1.6 GHz is marked. Most likely the intent of Asus is to create configurations of ultra-economic bracket entry with some of its models from Asus EeePC most successful before final retirement.
To substantiate this interpretation is the recent appearance on the official website of Asus new versions of the first ever netbook: Asus Eee PC 701SDX and 701SD .
