Asus P50 technology IceCool
Asus P50 enriches the P series, already characterized by models Asus P30 and P80, with a good level of technical and other features to improve comfort and usability.
The Taiwanese company recently presented the new notebook called the Asus P50, model-P50IJ SO036X currently only available in Germany and Austria. This is a P-series model that integrates the technology interesting IceCool through which the palm rest is kept at a temperature lower than that of the human body to improve comfort during extended sessions of use and improve cooling.
The new model created by the Asus has a TFT display with anti-glare 15.6-inch diagonal and native resolution 1.366x768 pixels combined with a classic controller Intel GMA4500M. A look at the data sheet can observe an Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 2.0 GHz, and second-level cache of 2 MB. The chipset which supervises the operation of the system is an Intel GL40. The system memory is fixed, at least for the basic configuration, 2 GB 667 MHz (1 x 2GB) expandable up to 4 GB.
The fund used to store data involves the use of a hard disk 250 GB SATA 5,400 rpm and effectively supported by a DVD Super Multi with Dual Layer. The budget Asus P50 is enriched with a card reader 3-in-1 VGA video output, 4 USB 2.0 ports, microphone and headphone jack and a connective tissue compartment that includes, in addition to ordinary Gigabit Ethernet, Wi support -Fi 802.11b / g. This notebook, as expected, comes with a preinstalled copy of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit version and is available in black color. The structure measures 370 x 256 x 31 ~ 35 mm, depending on the final configuration required, and weighs about 2.7 kilograms, battery included. A configuration, therefore, balanced, that offers reasonable performance considering both the processor adopted the integrated graphics chip.
Obviously this is a system capable of addressing a variety of activities but may be placed in serious difficulty during intensive gaming sessions or while performing video editing software. The selling price is around 589 euros including a warranty period of one year but there are no known information regarding the possible availability on markets other than those mentioned in the opening.
