Lenovo IdeaPad G430 and a netbook arriving
If the rumors proved to Digitimes were confirmed, Lenovo is about to launch a new series of laptop computers belonging to the family consumer IdeaPad for the general public. According to the little information available, the IdeaPad G series lead Lenovo's entry in the field of systems at low cost, or netbook, category of the most active and dynamic market that attracts more and more manufacturers of laptop computers.
The first model planned for the new family Lenovo IdeaPad G430, a 14.1-inch laptop, based on platform Centrino 2. As we predicted 60% of laptop computers from the Chinese launched a panel mount LCD 14 inches, and it is not surprising therefore that the new model IdeaPad G430 will integrate an LCD panel of this size. Laptops IdeaPad G will be produced by Taiwanese ODMs.
This information is in line with what is said in the past by Lenovo itself, which will outsource the production of 1-1.5 million notebooks per month in 2009, Taiwanese companies. As regards the Netbook IdeaPad G, there are at present more details and technical specifications, but certainly in the future we shall discuss it. Anyway Lenovo intends to propose the new series IdeaPad G competittivi prices.
