Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and S10-3-3T with Intel N450 Pineview
Lenovo could not miss in the chorus of producers ready to market mobile-based architecture PineTrail introduced by the giant of Santa Clara. The manufacturer today introduced two new models, Lenovo IdeaPad S10 and S10-3-3T.
These days are going numerous reports concerning the configurations of the new netbook on the market that will be released shortly and will be based on Intel processors and PineTrail Pineview. Although in Europe and America do not have information about any new product, the section Asian Lenovo announced that it has developed two models, specifically called IdeaPad S10 and S10-3-3t, equipped with a touch-sensitive display that can be rotated to use the system as a tablet.
It is, therefore, the third generation of the 10.1-inch Netbook developed by Taiwanese manufacturer. The two models use a full-size keyboard and, optionally, can be enhanced with GPS and 3G modules. Not many rumors but confirmed support for the multitouch touchpad, and the presence of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Please note that the platform will PineTrail to equip future mobile systems and will point to two key aspects for this kind of device.
First, the 'integration of the graphics section directly into the processor, reduces from three to two components of the integrated architecture. This feature translates into more compact dimensions of the systems through increased scale of integration. The second key point is the 'autonomy. Intel itself stated that the energy of the new platform would indicatively be reduced by 20% compared to the current solution for mobile devices.
The coming weeks will be crucial to know in detail the proposed new Lenovo. Some rumors placement in January, the optimal launch date, probably at the CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
