Lenovo IdeaPad Y430, Y530 and Y730 on Centrino 2
With the launch of Intel Centrino 2, Lenovo renews its range of IdeaPad consumer notebooks, today announced Lenovo IdeaPad Y430 models, Y530 and Y730, successors of the old Y410, Y510 and Y510 based on the Intel platform Santa Rosa. Not yet available detailed information on technical specifications, but while the chassis would appear to be equivalent to the previous series, leaked some information regarding the solutions and the new graphics processors used.
The models Y430 and Y530 14.1-and 15.4 inches, available with a textured black and red color, will be equipped with Blu-Ray combo drive and an optional display WXGA 1280x800 pixels, and will replace the old Lenovo 3000 series, recently discarded. IdeaPad Y430 will use the integrated graphics segment of Centrino 2 IGP, comprising the Intel GMA X4500HD; IdeaPad Y530 but have a segment based on low-end graphics chip Nvidia 9400M GS with 256MB of memory, which is flanked by an Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 from 2GHz clock, with 3MB of L2 cache and FSB 1066MHz.

17.1-inch IdeaPad Y730 however, will be equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 from 2.26GHz, with 3MB of L2 cache and FSB 1066MHz. The graphics will be based on ATI's mid-range ATI M86ME, corresponding to an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 512MB. This will be a model oriented to the world of multimedia and gaming, which is characterized by certain features such as hot-swap hard drive (with a maximum configuration of 2 hard drives 320GB in RAID), multimedia touch controls, sound system Home Theater , Blu-Ray Combo, HDMI port, VeriFace facial recognition technology, and One-Key Rescue System for the immediate restoration of the operating system.

Lenovo Y730 will naturally be coupled to a display of exception, with a resolution WUXGA 1920x1200 pixels, ideal for playback of digital high definition. New IdeaPad Centrino 2 will be sold from the fall season, with starting price equal to 699 and $ 949 for models Y430 and Y530; not yet known the cost of the 17.1-inch multimedia platform.
