In this review we look at the Samsung netbook NF210, which features a new design, called "shark", and an Intel dual-core Atom N550.
Samsung at IFA 2010 has completely revamped its offering in the netbook field , presenting the new range which also includes the NF protagonist of our review, Samsung NF210. The distinctive feature of these laptops is the design "wave", which aroused great interest and appreciation during the fair in Berlin.
As seen in other cases, the tendency is to make not just a small netbook computers affordable, but also a true fashion statement, to attract an audience of users and the ever-growing demands not only functional.
The Samsung NF210 A01, in particular, shows a cast ivory white finish, which accentuates the stylish look of this netbook. The interior is black with chrome detail or surface-like brushed aluminum. Examine more closely the different trim taken from this laptop in the section on general impressions.
The aesthetics of Korean house as usual, is perfectly matched to 'ergonomics and ease of use. For example, the monitor, with a standard 10.1-inch diagonal, 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution of 1024x600 pixels, has a matte surface that prevents annoying reflections and provides good visibility even in bright ambient light.
The stand-alone 83-key keyboard is perfectly integrated into the base, as well as the touchpad blends into the palm-rest, completing a functional machine, simple and original looking.
The system of rapid recovery (in just three seconds) from standby (Samsung Fast Start) and dedicated software to simplify wireless connections to other Samsung (Samsung Easy Content and File Share), whether TV, mobile phones or cameras, to allow Samsung NF210 to roam from office to home without uncertainties.
The compact size, light weight (1.35 kg), good battery life and broad connectivity (WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 + HS including 802.11n), together with a reasonable price, make it an interesting machine for users who want to combine functionality, portability and style.
