Samsung X360, light as air
Samsung has released during the first day of the IFA 2008 in Berlin, its new lightweight laptop based on Centrino 2, the direct rival Macbook Air from Apple and the ThinkPad X301 Lenovo signed. Its weight in fact, equal to 1.27Kg, the law places in the category of Thin & Light notebook with a 13.3-inch screen and a thickness between 1.5 to 3 centimeters in its upper part. As anticipated, the Samsung X360 will be based on Centrino 2 platform and will incorporate an Intel ULV last generation.
The component graphics are assigned to the subsystem integrated Intel GMA X4500, and the system will be supported by (up to) 4GB of memory, we do not know if DDR2 or DDR3, storage and a choice between a traditional hard drive or a 120GB 5400rpm drive 64GB or 128GB SSD, Samsung signed of course.

Like the MacBook Air, including the Samsung X360 not integrate the optical drive, DVD player / DVD burner, but will offer only three USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard/34, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, Kensington lock connector, WiFi, Bluetooth and a webcam 1.3MPixels. The duration of its autonomy is between 6-10 hours depending on usage of the notebook. Currently we do not know the cost to the public but we can anticipate that the launch will take place during the month of September on major international markets including the U.S..
