Acer has decided to bring at Computex 2011 in Taipei a new model of professional laptop, Acer Travelmate 8481, 14-inch with Intel Huron River and the Sandy Bridge processor Intel Core i7 low.

Acer TravelMate 8481 notebook is Sandy Bridge processor Intel Core i7 low, 8GB of RAM and 320GB of data storage space (rather limited). The graphics component is assigned to the CPU chip, Intel GMA 3000 HD, while the connectivity module uses a WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports in a combo eSATA, one USB 3.0 , audio jack, HDMI and VGA, but also Ethernet.

During the CeBIT 2011 in Hannover, Acer has shown the new series of laptop computers TimelineX, made up of models Acer Travelmate 8572, 8172 and 8372 TimelineX.

As for the professional sector, Acer releases three new models of the famous series called Acer Travelmate 8172, 8372 and 8572 TimelineX that share most of the technical specifications but which are distinguished by the form factor of, respectively, to 11.6, 13.3 and 15.6 inches. The new born at home Monte Generoso Acer Intel Core i3/i5/i7 and have the latest DDR3 memory up to 2 GB.
