During the second quarter of 2010, Dell would have achieved one of its major objectives: exceed Acer. According to iSuppli, the American multinational rises again in second place in the world ranking of computer makers.

After 9 months spent in second place in the top 10 electronics giants leading global mobile in the second quarter of 2010 Acer drops in third place. Despite a growth of 24.2% over one year, the Taiwanese company showed a loss of 6.2% over the last three months, compared to first quarter 2010. One reason for this failure is given mainly by the decline of its sales on laptops, which has invested heavily in the segment.
