HP Pavilion DV6T - In depth
The crisis makes it a good time to buy technology. It would be best if not walk without a tough, but if you're considering a laptop and has the necessary Parn, there are mid-range models at very affordable prices in the range of 500-800 euros. This is true of the HP Pavilion DV6T, a team focused on business but that, properly configured, can serve as a portable game.
This is a laptop that inherits the look and features of the DV6000 and adds its own improvements. On the negative side, the custom of HP equipment to fill their huge software applications and programs very nice but not very practical. Nothing that a good format with the option to revert to Windows XP can not solve.

Externally, the HP Pavilion DV6T is a compact design with a few concessions. The casing, for example, is available in two colors: white and black. The white model is decorated with a plethora of fine curved lines of a target to be broken into a texture of brown circles in the case of the model Expresso Black. It is a nice and not bother finishing it more than necessary. In addition, the final coating is shiny, and that the marks of fingers are insured.
Screen
The team is light for its size, weighs 2.8 kilos. The screen measures 16 inches and widescreen format 16 / 9 and 1366 × 768 resolution. There is an option to include Brightview Infinity technology which supposedly improves contrast and brightness of colors, but it is an aesthetic choice (screen with glossy or matte finish) than anything else. It was a lack of choice for the top up to 1080p resolution (1,920 × 1,080), especially considering that the equipment has HDMI output for connecting to a high definition television.
Ports
Besides HDMI, the HP Pavilion DV6T account in the section on connections, three USB ports, a FireWire, eSATA and Ethernet on the sides, to which we must add a card reader 5 in 1, VGA, Kensington Lock and the classic headphone and microphone jacks are located on the front. The laptop's keyboard is comfortable and has a narrow numeric pad, but its glossy finish makes it reflects too much light in certain environments. As for the mouse pad has the usual configuration of double button at the bottom and vertical scroll bar. In general, access to the controls is quite comfortable and ergonomic.
Power as
Internally, the HP Pavilion DV6T offers a very flexible configuration. The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz that may be raised to 2.2, which means not much difference in level of computing power. The base memory is expandable up to 2 Gb 8 Gb Regarding the hard drive, starting from a 250 Gb to 5400 revolutions per minute (RPM) in the cheapest model that can grow to a 320 Gb 7200 RPM if we are to yield or even a 500 GB 5400 RPM for an extra storage space.
Extras
The graphics card is a basic Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD. Needless to say, this setup is not much more than for office applications. If we want power for gaming must change to a ATI Radeon HD 4530de 512 Mb or 4650 with a gig of memory. In any case, this update may increase the price around 200 euros. The same goes for the optical drive. In the basic model is a reader-8x Multi DVD recorder with LightScribe technology. There are options for Blu-ray reader that also raise the price accordingly. Webcam, WiFi and Bluetooth are integrated as standard. Not so the biometric fingerprint reader or DTT tuner, which can be added as an extra.
Battery and price
The standard battery of DV6T is one of six cells that can be exchanged for a 12 if we need to do overtime without plug. HP does not provide information on the duration of the batteries, although not supposed to be excessive given the size of the screen. The notebook can be ordered directly from the website of HP and its base price is $ 650 (475 euros) but the ideal thing is to wait about half price of EUR 600 final.
The best:
A generous and bright screen coupled with a beautiful and ergonomic design. The HP Pavilion DV6T not bad price for their services, although additions to the price setting fire to a minimum.
The worst:
Weighs more than similar models from other brands and the finish is so bright that it tends to dazzle. HP offers no option to change the number of operating system to something other than Windows Vista and, by contrast, offers many applications series that they simply slow down a computer that could be much simpler if ballast.
