Dell Inspiron 1525: Now available in USA
A few days ago, the notebook Dell Inspiron 1525 had made its appearance on Dell's online shop Australia. With a few days later than expected, this laptop is now available in the United States, at a base price of just $ 499.
The price and the list of specifications we immediately explain why Dell has chosen to insert a new price model 15.4-inch consumer notebooks, as the Dell Inspiron series already included a model in this form factor, presented a few months does. Apparently the Dell Inspiron 1525 is not going to replace the Dell Inspiron 1520, but the complement to occupy the low end of the market, which, like prices, now runs alongside that of low-cost laptop Asus Eee PC and OLPC XO.

The Dell Inspiron 1525 revolutionizes the stylistic approach of the previous range of consumer laptops of U.S. multinationals: Smaller, lighter and thinner than its predecessor, offers, in addition to the already available 8 colors of the cover, four fanciful decorations and cheerful: Blossom, Chill, Commotion and Street. There is also a set of coordinated accessories such as wireless mouse, external drives, carrying pouch, backpack, and so on, which will enable customers to create their own custom package.
The target entry-level Dell 1525 it seriously affects the hardware equipment: there is a dedicated video card, even as an option BTO (Build-To-Order), also lacks the ability to mount a Blu-Ray, even if it is This digital output HDMI.
The range of available CPU has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 Merom only as top of the range, webcam and Bluetooth are only optional. In short, the components are mounted very low. The reason for this choice could be explained by the intention of the Dell Inspiron series to fall back toward the low end of the market to let oxygen in the medium-high, the XPS series (with models Dell XPS M1330 and M1530, while the Dell XPS 17 inch are dedicated to a more niche audience, composed of enthusiast gamers).
Finally, we make an overview of the accessories curious: ExpressCard Travel Remote for control of multimedia content, external display lavisione high resolution of HD content and 4-port Hub Belkin USB wireless.
