Sony slim notebook with touchscreen?

Pending the official presentation, these days have followed rumors related to thinnest ultraportable Vaio X and in particular to its release schedule and specifications. The latest news would give the notebook out next month, replacing the current Vaio TT. This entry also means the likely adoption of low-power processors Core 2 Duo, unlike the solution in Silverthorne Atom the first prototypes were equipped.

One of the most interesting point, however, also a new laptop, probably a touchscreen version of the same Vaio X. If this entry is confirmed, it would be the first notebook with touch-sensitive screen of the Japanese electronics giant. Unlike some other notebooks like the Dell Latitude XT2 ol ' HP Pavilion TX2 , the Sony model but not a laptop with tablet functionality (ie a standard design would have no possibility to rotate and tilt the screen).

The new series of notebook computers for multimedia entertainment from 16.4 inch Sony Vaio FW31 not long in coming, and begins a few hours after launching the new line of laptop Sony Vaio AW21 . Both also benefit from a hard disk with Serial ATA and 400GB 5400 rpm, and modules for WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N; VaioFW31E exploit finally a Double Layer DVD Super Multi while FW31J have included a Blu-Ray Combo drive. The retail price of the Vaio FW31E FW31J and will be respectively 899 and 999 euros including VAT (available from mid-February).
