Sony Vaio W: 10 inch Intel Atom N280
The Japanese company entered the field late in the ultra-mobile miniPC P Vaio, 8-inch device and Intel's Menlow platform, priced at under $ 1000. With Vaio W, Sony seems to really compete with the different models of netbooks currently on the market. Sony Vaio W (W119XJ) is configured with an Intel 945GSE, Intel Atom N280 (1.66GHz), 1GB of 533MHz DDR2 memory, hard 160GB 5400rpm SATA HDD, Intel GMA 950 graphics chip, 10-inch display with LED backlight with WXGA resolution of 1366 × 768 HD, 1.3 megapixel Motion Eye webcam with microphone, card reader interfaces and WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, VGA, audio jack, 2 USB 2.0 and Ethernet.




1.19Kg in weight with a battery that provides a 'self-proclaimed to 3.30 hours with Windows XP Home SP3, Sony Vaio W measure 267.8 x 179.6 x 27.5-32.4 mm. Sony states that his Vaio consumes 7W W in normal operation and 0.3W idle. It has a keyboard with keys spaced plates which should allow a fairly comfortable typing. Note however that it does not occupy the entire width of the base and the spacebar seems a bit 'low. BZ21 Sony Vaio with new processors
